Every once in a while a customer comes across the smoked cheese scones from Veronika's Pastries and has fits of delight for a few weeks while they get used to the unexpected treat of them. These aren't for everyone, though. You must like butter (!!) and be able to expand your definition of a scone to include the smoky, savory flavor of the cheese. If that doesn't seem like a stretch, then try this recipe from customer Helene, who truly knows how to make a breakfast sandwich.
Smoked cheese scone, toasted or not
Bit of mayo (not included)
Sauteed greens (some broccoli raab, maybe spinach)
I think onions would go great in there
If you're vegetarian you can stop there. If you're not, add either the breakfast sausage from Autumn's Harvest or any kind of bacon. Helene is partial to the Canadian bacon (for good reason).
Pile it all on in traditional sandwich fashion and ingest!
Included in the box is:
6 smoked cheese scones
1/2 lb spinach
1 lb onions
1 lb canadian or smoked bacon (with meat option only)
